Dying Asian Hair: Bleach Session #2 & Toner
It has been a little more than 3 weeks so I finally took the time to do the second session of the bleaching process. This time I got it blonde enough to actually tone it lighter because honestly, I don't think my hair could handle another bleach session.

Dying Asian Hair: Going Blonde
This summer I am determined to dye my hair something wild. It's going to be my last year of college so I want to try something outrageous before I go out there and be professional. Before anything, I have to create a base where I can go crazy. I have to bleach it blonde before I do any color. This is what I did. Follow me on my journey to pastel hair. ;D To get started, here is what you need:

HAUL: Sephora / Benefit !
It's been pretty hectic for me. I swear they should change "mid-term week" to "mid-term month!" It's also my birthday month so I thought I should treat myself and since Sephora does that birthday gift thing I took the opportunity to buy some things from there. Without noticing, I sorta bought everything from Benefit from Sephora which explains my title.

HAUL: The Body Shop, H&M, & F21
I'm back with a haul! Its nothing big but there was a back to school ordeal so I thought I'd try some products from The Body Shop. And I also bought a couple of article of clothing from H&M and F21. For some reason, I haven't been in a mood to buy new clothes. I mean I want to buy new clothes but there hasnt been anything that I really wanted so I bought pretty basic things.
From Left to Right:
☆ Camomile Gentle Make-Up Remover; the lovely sales attendant told me a little goes a long way ~ ☆
☆ Vitamin E Moisture Cream ☆
☆ Vitamin E Moisture Cream ☆
☆ BB Sample in #01; this color is actually a bit too dark for me but the sales attendant told me that there a lighter option, #00, will be available soon ☆
☆ Seaweed Matifying Day Cream; i have large pores and i though i'd try a little tub to see if this will clog my pores ☆Thursday, June 13, 2013
REVIEW: The Face Shop's SMART PEELING Water in Pomegranate
I came across The Face Shop's SMART PEELING Water in Pomegranate and thought I should try it out. It a peeling gel that helps exfoliates the skin. I learned about "peeling" gel last summer when my relatives from Hong Kong stayed with us. This type of gel supposedly break down enzymes from within your skin so its easier to remove all the dead skin cells and impurities making it easier for nourishment to penetrate deeper into your skin.Friday, May 10, 2013
HAUL: Collective !
I know I've been MIA. BUT I do have an legit excuse, college. Its finals week! Eeks. I just finished off 2 finals and handed in all 5 of my essays. I have one more final Monday but I'm not worried about that. I apologize for being away so long but I'm back with a haul. Its more of a collective haul but its nothing big at all since I've been busy with school. I barely had the time (and money) to do anything else besides school work. Anyway lets get to the haul!
This is the first half of my haul. Its the fashion/H&M haul. Starting from left to right:

Mini HAUL: Sephora
Hello Lovelies.
I got a $5 e-gift card and thought I should grab my birthday gift from Sephora. Unfortunately, I had to purchase something in order to redeem my birthday gift so I bought this traveler body wash thing. Shipping is $6 and my body wash thingy was $0.80 So in total everything was $1.81. And I would like to mention how fast Sephora ships their things. I ordered this on Sunday and it came on Tuesday.
Here is everything I got:
- 3 Perfume samples; Dahlia Noir by Givenchy, Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana, and Infusion D'iris by Prada
- Mango Traveler Bodywash thing
- Sephora's Birthday Gift; Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo
- Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara (deluxe sample?)
Here is everything unwrapped. Boy, when I mean mini-haul, I meant it. All the items are tiny! But then again all of them are samples or a gift from Sephora. The only thing I really bought was the bodywash. Still its all worth the $1.81. I might do a review on the lip duo because I recently used up my EOS balm. AND I lost my Burt's Bee. :(

REVIEW: Lip Balm Edition
I have acquired quite of lot of chapsticks and lib balms over the Winter season. I have so much that I thought I should write a review since I used it all the time.
I have tried the EOS balms, Carmex, Avon Basics, Burt's Bee, Softlips and Blistex (not pictured).
Softlips:
The only reason I bought Softlips was because the packaging was so pretty. Wrong mistake here. These are so annoying to apply with if you DON'T have thin lips. I do not have thin lips so it just takes forever to apply and the grip sucks so it's just a messy application all around. I don't recommend this at all.
Burt's Bee (Left):
Burt's Bee in Grapefruit. The scent is very strong and I love it. I'm a sucker for citrus scents. Burt's Bee is pretty good. Its made out of bees' wax so it feels does feel waxy on the lips but you'll get used to it eventually. It also doesn't have that stinging feel that some people look for but it works. These babies come in various scents and are only about $3 a stick.
Avon Basics (Right).
Also waxy but doesnt even compare in benefits. I seem to be reapplying it every 5 minutes and it seem like it doesnt work at all. And the scent smells spicy and medicinal. Steer clear.
Summer Fruit (Red); LemonDrop (Yellow); Honeysuckle Honeydew (Lime)
EOS Lip Balms:
This would be my favorite out of the bunch (if you haven't noticed.) Like the Burt's Bee, it's natural and has a waxy feeling but you'll get used to it. The scent isn't as strong and their scents are more sweet and delicate. The container shape is so unique. It is circular to conform to your lips and the container feels like smooth rubber so it provides a nice grip. The only thing I don't like about this is that there is nothing inside the pot. Once you finish the top, you reach an empty pot and it makes you feel ripped off. But then again contains just as much lip balm as a regular one does.
This would be my emergency lip balm. This is my miracle stick. If my EOS isn't doing it's job then I whip this baby out. Usually, I only have to apply this once and I'm okay for most of the day. I like this a lot better than Blistex because I find that I need to keep applying Blistex. For those who like that burning sensation, this is the one for you. It's also inexpensive. Its about at most $2 at a drugstore. These also come in a pot but I like the tube version because I think its a lot more hygienic and is easier to apply.Ranking for Effectiveness:
1. Carmex
2. EOS Balm
3. Burt's Bee
4. Softlips
5. Avon Basic
Honestly, I would recommend not to use Carmex as your go-to because I think it rather strong so it would be a bad idea to condition your lips with something so potent.
